Nobody can read your data. Not even us.
With no account, the panel lives in your browser and there is no server to look at. With Sync, the copy is encrypted on your device with a key derived from your password, and what reaches our database can't be read by anyone: not us, not whoever hosts it.
The only key is your password. If you forget it, a recovery code you get when you create the account lets you in. We can't open it for you, and that's the good part.

Before you open it
Do I need an account?
No. The panel works in full with no account. You only create one if you want Snugport Sync, which is the paid part.
Where exactly is my data?
In your browser's local storage, on the device you use. With Sync, an encrypted copy also lives in our database so your other devices can pick it up.
What if I clear my browser data?
The same as with any site: it goes. That's why there's a one-click JSON export, and why Sync exists. On iPhone, Safari also clears local storage for sites you haven't visited in seven days: adding Snugport to your home screen exempts it.
Does it make invoices?
No, and that's deliberate. Snugport knows what's invoiced and paid, and gives you the hours per client and month in a sheet to attach. Issuing the invoice is a different product.
